Hello from the editor
My name is Marika and I have been publishing Kings Hill Mums for 12 years. I have lived in Kings Hill for 14 years and am mum to Sam, 16, Sophie, 13 and Joseph, 7. I have a degree in Spanish from Goldsmith’s College, University of London and have worked in publishing since I left there in 1999. I have worked across the board selling advertising, editing and writing articles, copy writing, proofing and book reviewing in England and Dubai and across a variety of publications including Emirates Woman, Tunnels and Tunnelling, Fish & Chips and Fast Food Weekly, Performance Ford, GT Porsche and The Sun newspaper. A diverse selection! I love most sports, though spend more time driving the kids to participate these days than doing much myself. I’m a voracious reader, particularly of psychological thrillers and women’s fiction and if I’m not here I will often be found in my happy place on a beach in Spain with a good book and a G&T. Do check out the book reviews on this website and in the magazine as I love to share the books I enjoy. I love living in Kings Hill and particularly after the ups and downs we’ve all face in the past few years I couldn’t imagine a better community environment in which to bring up my children.
